Aims
|
| The purpose of
the charity is to promote education for the children of Africa as
a means to assist the defeat of poverty. In addition, the charity
aims to educate the women of Africa to afford them the ability to
be self sufficient particularly in relation to the widowed and poor
such that they can make more of their resources.
|
| The charity achieves
these aims by raising the funds necessary to sponsor children through
school, building and maintaining schools and providing materials
such as clothing, books, writing materials and other aid and assistance
as is deemed appropriate by the officers of the charity.

Structure
|
| A board of Directors governs the charity.
The Secretary has 51% voting rights in all matters.  
|
| The directors will ensure that the charity
is run according to the founding principles:
|
| Whilst being founded on Christian principles
the charity is for the benefit of all races and faiths. It will practice
the principles of tolerance and love.
|
| There will be no paid officers of the
charity all officers and assistants will be volunteers and receive
no paid benefit for their labours save it be the refunding of reasonable
expenses incurred.
|
| The directors will ensure compliance
with the law in any country they operate in, respecting the sovereignty
of nations.
|
| Whilst the head office is in Scotland,
The charity will open offices in other countries whenever it is in
the best interests of the people of that country to do so. These
offices will be subsidiary to the head office and subject to these
articles
|
Frequency of meetings
|
| An annual meeting will be held at which
all officers will attend and may vote on any aspects of policy and
these articles.
|
Election of officers
|
| Officers will be proposed by the Secretary
and confirmed by all other officers. Officers may be de-selected
by nomination of the Secretary
|
Voting
|
| The Secretary is accorded 51% voting
rights and possesses the casting vote in all matters. The Secretary
will appoint their own successor to that role. The other directors
will share the remaining voting rights on an equal basis.

Accounts
|
| Annual accounts are filed with appropriate
United Kingdom authorities on an annual basis.
|
Nationality
|
| The Charity is founded and operates from
Scotland and is governed by Scots Law |
