Bike

any child will tell you that a bike is a fantastic way to get around. Many of the children walk two and three miles to get to and from school so this is a fantastic asset.

Building Fund

To establish a infrastructure in the village building seems to be something we do a lot of!

Having completed our four blocks of our Primary School we are now building our secondary school and will start on our orphanage in the near future.

The children love this lesson, at the moment we only have four computers, with the addition of the new classrooms we plan to expand on this.

One Years Primary School Education

Children in Kenya loved to go to school .This money covers the cost of schooling, uniform and a cup of porridge in the morning, and depending on the need, often times lunch as well.

Feed a Family

We understand the need for people to sustain themselves and become self sufficient, however the poorest families find if difficult to break away from the poverty trap. We supply food parcels which are given out different times through the year so that families do not become dependant on them.

We buy the gifts for them in Kenya to help the economy. We also try and wrap these gifts as most of the children have never had the experience a tearing open a parcel.

Many of the children come to school with bites from sleeping without the protection of a net This is a life saving gift. A child dies every 30 seconds in Africa from Malaria

Although we receive many donations of books in this country from schools and organisations, we need to conform to the Kenyan curriculum and purchase school books in Kenya.

One Year Secondary School education

Secondary education in relation to a Kenyan salary is very expensive.

There is no free secondary school and if you cannot pay for school you cannot go. The children are desperate for an education and really value it.

Pair of shoes, socks and underwear

The children appear to be happy walking about bare foot, however when you give them a pair of shoes and see their smile you realize what it means to them. Shoes are also necessary to stop gigger worms burrowing into the children’s feet
