CHOIR RETURNED HOME
The  Believe Tour was a great success and the children enjoyed staying with host families, spending time in school and of course sharing their talents by performing. This was our 8th tour and since our first tour in 2006 we have typically raised around between  £40 – 45K. In earlier years the cost of running the tours was around £18k, in the last few years this has increased and now with increased airfares, transport, passport visas etc the cost have escalated to closer to 30K. We obviously love the tours and they are so great at getting the message out, and attracting new sponsorships. We do however need to time to consolidate our growth and focus on some  of our time in Kenya so at the moment there is no plan in place to run a tour in 2019. However, we would like to bring some of our teachers to visit and learn from the schools here in 2019. If we do tour again in future we would like to change the format a little and try and attract sponsorship prior to the tour that covers the running costs, enabling us to use the money that we have to hold to pay for flights etc to be used to improve facilities in Kenya.
